  • Are these things actually in abundance in Canada?

I don't think the MAXes are available. I have been trying to get one from http://www.softonline.com out of Toronto and they kept having their ship dates moved. I finally gave in an ordered a G400 32MB DH. Should be here on Friday....Yay!!!

PII 350 MHZ, 128 MB RAM blah blah blah
Pentium III 500MHz, 128MB RAM ,10GB + 850 MB Driver, Samsung DVD, Diamond Monster Sound II, and of course a G400 32MB DH (O/C 200/150)
    blah blah blah

Lots of Heat sink compound. Keeps them nice and regular, too.

I work in downtown Toronto (downtown canada? ), and there are no maxes to be found anywhere. I gave up last week and ordered a 32MB DH straight from matrox.

I noticed a little sarcasm in that first post, so for interest's sake, I'll put Toronto in perspective for all you yankees.

5 largest cities in North America

            1 Mexico City
            2 New York City
            3 Los Angeles
            4 Chicago
            5 Toronto

I'm not positive about the order of the three US cities. But the point is, Toronto is not so small and unimportant as some may think. Ok, enough patriotism for now...

Here in Vancouver there are no MAX's to be had (of course). But a PC store owning bud says his distributors claim Aug25 as THE date of arrival. Don't bet the farm on it!

Heh. I know that. Downtown Canada was a south park reference. No offense. Really. I live so close to Canada that if I sleepwalk I may end up having to go through customs.

Matrox distribution must be a clandestine arm of the Canadian Government as their modus operandi is identical, the last people they take care of are CANADIAN citizens.

...and Saddam Husein was quoted as saying...

"Hey, relax, fella, you just need a rest, guy"

Just watch it or we'll send in our navy, which is actually my neighbour Bob and his buddy Carl in a rowboat, with one air rifle.

                      Interesting fact about canada:

The West Edmonton Mall has a full sized amusement park inside, which includes two fully operational submarines. This happens to be two more submarines than our navy has.

We still have our trump card though. We produced Shania Twain
