G400 and SBLive! conflict...???

I've seen on Usenet that Bus Mastering problem may come from adding a SBLive! in the system. I got a G400 and this sound card, and I have a Bus Mastering problem (slow downs every 0.5 seconds under 3DMark and Tech demo ).
My drivers are the last ones exept for the SBLive! (a bit big to download!!!), is it possible the problem is coming from this...???

Do people who own an SBLive! in their sys have problem...???

I've hear that the latest drivers can make a BIG difference. I didn't even load the originals and I've never had any problems.

i have a sb live value with my g400 and it still hasnt fixed my busmastering prob... shouldnt have gotten the cheap motherboard. and o yea, my antivairus programs makes me lag so much when its open... didnt do that with the mystique.

what??? i've just noticed that vsync enable/disabled reg patch doesn't work anymore. whatever i do the score under 3dmark is the same although before i got an extra 200 marks... not important i will get powerstrip and overclock it to 166!!!

I use Norton Antivirus 5.0, auto-protect is always enabled and I don´t notice anything unusual...

Vsync disable is working for me. Here´s what I get in tirtanium 1.20 (3d info d3d/opengl)

SWAP3DBuffer 1024 x 768 x 32 test result: 8695.65 Hz
VSync for Direct3D is OFF

Either the Vsync is off or I have a real good monitor and still haven´t noticed it

GREAT!!! my pb is solved!!!
i've download live!ware 2.0 (26 megs argh!)and it works now!!!
But this is my antivirus (nav 5.0) which cause me the same problem sometimes (bizar...!)
so the pb is now solved!!!

Hellmutt: I assume you can install 2.0 without first having 1.0, because the 2.0 setup asks you if you want to fully uninstall 1.0 before continuing.

thanks for the response, I thought I had read on the SB homepage that I need to have 1.0 beneath... good that ain't the case! Only SBL Expierience misses in the 2.0, but I can well live w/o that one.
Installing 1.0 on my NTsp4 has killed NT instantly. Even the "last good config" thing did not help. Was big fun hacking out the drivers with NTFSDOS&Co...:-(
BTW, you should also get the 2.1 update which fixes several issues.

Every so often lately I have been getting screen artifacting, I would load up IE5 and everything is garbled and the system locks? wtf? I say and go throug to install Powerdesk 5.13 after doing the half hour task of uninstalling the old drivers - (why isnt there an uninstall util??) And so then everything is okay, until I play descent 3 w/ EAX then everything dies when i exit the game to go to my desktop, and reboot and get issues when I open IE5 to brows, there are screen artifacts, I cant even see the start button or interact with anything as the system locks hard, so I use G400 tweak and enable AGP 2X (no reason, PCIlist says it works reboot, go in living room and watch planet of the apes come back and here I am in IE5 okay, what gives? G400 uses IRQ 11, SBLive! value uses 5, Im in the process of getting LiveWare 2.1, its a HUGE download, so my bro at his work has a T3 and a zip drive, Ill have to wait until I go over to his place and pick up the disk and load it to see results. But is it the SBLive! causing all this? busmastering? Im not sure but I remember going through hell with my old mystique and busmastering, cant matrox ever get it right? or is it something different entirely? (I thought it may be virus, so i installed mcaffee retail version and latest updates and it found nothing- added another minute to boot time though!)

There is an uninstall utility for PD, just go to the Matrox site and download it.
