I know it's strange, but sometimes after playing Expendable for about 15 minutes it just crashes to the desktop, I know its not an overheating problem. It must be a conflict or the patch isn't stable. Something like that. When you get it to work it is an amazing effect.

HI!
I realized the problem now. There is a file in the patch called "go.exe". When I overwrite my previous file then the game doesn't work but when I put the old Go.exe file back, it works. But environmental bump mapping is not working.

How to get Expendable (retail version) to support Environmental Bump Mapping?
Hi!
I got the G400 16 megs DH 2 weeks ago but I didn't get expendable with it. However, I do have the retail version which I had bought 2 months ago.
I have downloaded the patch from matrox's website which will make my retail version support bump mapping. I patched it but when I run the game it closes and goes back to my desktop. Why?
Is it because I am overclocking my system and running it at 124fsb and also overclocking my G400 to 145Mhz for the core and 191 for the memory?
Can someone help me?
Regards,
Manoj Mahtani

This is strange!
I have to reformat my hard disk just to get a game to work.
Is there any other way. I don't want to go through all the trouble just to get a game to show me the wonders of Environmental Bump Mapping.
My friends were at my place for dinner and I wanted to show them how the G400 performs and then I was disappointed that the game didn't work!

I wasn't banned but thanks to "T Y Lau", my IP address was banned since we both use the same ISP.
Now I am using my brother's account to post messages in this forum. It is nice when you have 2 ISPs in the house.

Hi!
It makes no difference since all the bills are settled by my dad's own company. So whether I use his account or he uses mine, makes no difference.
We live together. I should have thought of using his account earlier but then it didn't strick me then.
As for the time usuage, we both can use the same account at the same time. We will be charged double the time usuage. I usually use his account when he is not online.
In any case, I am glad that I can now post freely in this forum.
Regards,
Manoj Mahtani

Hmm, I was thinking of picking up a copy of Expendable since I didn't get it with the oem G400, but now I wonder if it's worth the bother. About the only game demo that has bump mapping (I guess) is Slave Zero, couldn't prove it by me in just playing it.
