Hi everybody!
Does anybody know how to test a system to see if its hardware functions properly? My PC freeze often, but I can't reproduce the problem when I bring it to the store. Since most of the freeze occur in 3D games (HalfLife among others)and in video editing, I suspect my marvel card, but I can't really prove it. (It could be anything else!)
My PC is a clone made of parts I selected:
ASUS P2B mainboard
128 Mb RAM
PII 450 Mhz
Matrox marvel, drivers v5.15
SB Live Value edition
Quantum EX 3 & 12 GB drives
USR sportster Modem 33,4
Win 98
Latest drivers and BIOS in everything
I have tried re-installing win98. It helps (less frequent freezes) but not completely!
Should I re-install WIN98 on a fresh drive?
