G400 DVD region lock

Hi!

I've recently joined the world of Matrox. The G400 DH is a card that suits me like a glove. My only problem is the HW region-lock on the DVDMAX-player. Does anyone know a patch to solve this minor problem?
I do like to watch movies on my 100Hz Philips widescreen TV.

I just want to know if there are any limits, say 5x25=125, in this regionselector. I used zoneselector along with my Hollywood-MPG2 card and in that case the number of changes were limited.
Is this program able to fool the flash-memory on the card unlimited times?

No I'm not sure of that.
The only information I've got is that the region code is set in the card's BIOS.
Have you tried to change the regionsettings a couple of times using DVD Region Selector?

Region selector will work around the bios (I think-haven't had a reason to change regions yet).

But another work around is to make an emergency backup of your bios. It will store the number of region changes in that backup, so if you have not switched regions, it will save with no changes. Anytime you flash back to your original bios, the counter will be reset...

Nope. Bios update don't affect the region counter.
