G400 DVD region lock

Well, looking at the registry, the number of region changes and current region look like normal registry entries (look for key "Cinemaster" or "Software Cinemaster") to me. So the thing looks these up from "bios" in every boot? And flashes the things back when you once change the setting?

Or is this something that is different on the international vs. North-American products? With my G400 the region can be changed 5 times from the control panel applet, and I would have guessed that after that it is simply enough to reset the counter in tegistry. I have not actually tested this though...

The register-key is the same as every Divicore Cinemaster software uses but the question is if the card uses an own counter that your not able to clear?
I've heard of other HW-manufactors that uses a sort of short-circuit to lock the card after 5 regionchanges. It wouldn't be fun if this happends with our G400.
