Get a benchmark utility such as 3DMark 99 MAX and test your system, before and after changes. Keep everything else constant.

        I scored 3110 at that resolution. That's isn't a clean boot and that's a PII@560. I can crank it up to 580 but I sometimes get some stability problems. I'm using a G400@143core/190mem.

For reference I give you 2900 (P2 400) and up (P2/P3 450+, Athlon). You can check the online database for best reference.

OK, When you check their online database, and choose 32bit colour depth, what depth Z buffer is that?

Well 3DMark99 MAX defaults to 16Z, so I guess that's that, but I can't find the G400 scores either. So here's where it ends, right? Now we have to boycot these sissies and start using a man's benchmark like BungholioMark 2000...

I'm just wondering if it does actually change the Z buffer to 32bit too. As they don't mention.
