I ordered a Max from them from the 14th of June. It still has not arrived yet. I noticed that is was not listed since Saturday. I've also noticed that it has disappeared from my order. I have just e-mailed them and expect a quick reply

Mwave are not the most reliable people I've ever dealt with. When C|Net started holding auctions, they were one of the 1st vendors to offer goods (128MB PC100 for $99). I grabbed some, but getting the goods was like being on E-Bay... I had to call them to arrange payment and whatnot. When the goods came, all the sticks were in one anti-static bag... barely passable packaging, but fine, otherwise.

They never offered, afaik, on C|Net again.

I think they've got problems, and I think it's just as well that you shouldn't be able to buy a MAX from them.

What irks me about the whole thing is that I have ordered lots of stuff from them without too many problems in the past. I paid them US$217.67 for the max. I see buy.com has them for $195 and shopping.com has them for US$201. I wonder if I should take the money from them and order from either of those places, or spend the extra US$21.33 and order from Matrox. What do you all think.

They still have not given me my money back yet. I will have a max. Eventually.
GE force sounds interesting, like G600 competition.

I just bought an ATX case from mwave and their customer service seemed OK to me... Has anyone had a particularly BAD experience with them? If so, I'd like to hear about it so I know whether to take a chance on buying from them again.

                    Cheers!

I've ordered several things from MWave, and I'll agree, their packaging stinks! Plus they typically overcharge for shipping. NOT my favorite place to shop.

I've ordered from MWave twice. On both occasions, I've had no problems.

A friend of mine ordered from them. Again, no problems.

Rule of thumb: Don't PREORDER hardware. It's a BIG mistake. I waited until the MAX was "in stock" somewhere before ordering it. And no, I don't have it yet.

By the way, I just called sg3d.com. They said I was the last one to get a G400 MAX that they had in stock. I'll find out tomorrow for sure. *crosses fingers*
