Bus Mastering and the G400 MAX lockups

Hello all. I went through a gruelling ritual of troubleshooting my G400 MAX lockup woes (see post below). A guy having similar problems on the Tom's Hardware forum replied to a message I left there. He pasted a copy of the list of things Matrox suggested he try. I followed the directions and -- I discovered that when bus mastering is disabled, the card does not lockup. However, it is _a lot_ slower. I'm not exactly sure what to do about this problem, but at least I have a more refined problem when I try calling Matrox tomorrow. Thanks for your help, everyone.
