All of you lucky G400 and MAX owners can now
exhibit the superiority of Matrox by showing
the improved performance in the OGL icd resulting from the new drivers. YAY!!!

So if you really love Matrox as much as so
many of you attest, then post them soooon.

Test rig = Celery 450, 128mg, G400Max

Q3 demo 1

Old Drivers

Normal 640x480 = 37fps
Normal 1024x768 = 33fps

New Drivers

Normal 640x480 = 42fps
Normal 1024x768 = 37fps

Now if they can keep that improvment over the next couple of releases, I wont have to burn my card and get a TNT2 Ultra

no change here. Same old ICD it seems. BTW, vsync is enabled now by default

ok here my scores:

Halflife 1013 blowup demo ,NOTE these scores are NOT the fps you'll could expect during gameplay... i think the demo mechanism of halflife doesn't work correct (the scores are way to low), but i think you can use them for comparing drivers..

OLD 640x480 21,9 fps
NEW 640x480 18,8 fps
OLD 1024x768 21,4 fps
NEW 1024x768 18,9 fps

well after looking at these scores i think i thought wrong

Well, no improvements!!!!! , pige at what settings have you tested q3???

Was the icd supposed to improve with these
drivers or was that improvement slotted for

Well I think 5.21 solved the problem of people asking for 5.20

I don't notice any improvements myself. Performance went slightly down.
