But listen up, we're the customers. I work in as a programmer at an e-commerce company which develops some products for important companies. If we tried something like this, we would be out of work. How do you think such a customer would react if we hadn't implemented anything we had agreed on on the start of that cycle? Indeed, they would be furious.
And it works the same if the customer is a normal person buying a product. Currently I suspect that It is just a wrong version they posted. For Quake 2 the OpenGL is fast enough, but for Quake 3 I have to resort to my Voodoo2 to make it more playable. And I really wanted to get rid of that thing.
