with 32-bit z buffer on. MAX o/c'd to 250 MHz memory clock/187 MHz graphics clock on Powerstrip.

    Best I've done so far.

Come on, I'm sure you can do even better than that, Brian. I got to 3461 at 175/234 on a lowly P2@4x112... (PD 5.13)

Did you try with VSync disabled?

No, probably not. I don't usually run with vsync disabled in games. My most commonly played game is Unreal and I get serious tearing if I disable vsync.

For what it's worth, I usually run my monitor at 70 Hz.

By the way, I disengaged vsynch (reghack) and found no change in the 3DMax score.

          Explain?

Triple buffering seems to work well. At 70Hz the effect of VSync on 3DMark99 seems to be minimal. At 85Hz it showed me some improvement, but nothing dramatic.

I'm really puzzeled why your P3@581 is just as fast as my P2@448 though. Did the overclocking disable your L2 maybe?
