Personal Information?

Just a Supermicro server case. It allows for 3 fans on each side of the drives, granted, the Cheetahs get pretty hot anyways but I've also got a lot of airflow in the case. (9 fans or so). I've looked at some of those drive coolers but I'm not sure if those are really all they're claimed to be, and I'm running out of power connecters anyhow I start to wonder, if you put too many fans in a system, if some of them start to cancel eachother out.

Three 18.2 Cheetahs and one 9.1. Also a 6.5gb Medalist that I want to replace. Across two 2940 adapters. So I guess it's what, 70.2 actually.

I'm probably not quite the SCSI nut you are, but at least I know enough to set up my swap on it's own drive --- because I can.

Whoa.. wish I had the cash for such a setup. Did you ever think of adding a cd-rw to your technological terror? I just got an ElanVital S30 server case for my new system (harder to come by than a G400MAX.. not kidding). Very nice and elegant looking. Asus makes the SCA module for it (It can hold 5 SCA LP drives and has 2 60mm fans..)I only have a single 18gb cheetah right now, but thinking about a second. Do all those drives ever exhibit any heat-related misbehavior?
If you are thinking of adding (even more) fans,I added a 120mm case fan by making a duct from a 5 1/4" bay and angling the fan inside the case. a single huge fan seems to work better than many little ones. I even looked into getting a huge 150x55mm AC monster and cutting a big round hole in the top of the case to suck the hot air out.. but then realized that I'd probably seen too many episodes of "Home Improvement"
