I was wondering if anybody is having problems with Heavygear2 on their G400. The game's video locks up, although the sound remains. Sometimes it will start again. This will be for a very short time, however. Also, Final Reality frequently locks up or the screen just gets garbled. On the 3Dmark test the Shooting sequence locks up. I never had this problem with the G200 Mystique(8Mb).
I've tried 5.13 and 5.21 drivers. The drivers were installed and uninstalled properly. My system consists of an MSI-6163 Mainboard,64 megs SDRAM-100Mhz,Pentium111 450Mhz processor,G400 Millenium OEM non dual version. I've also tried various resolutions. Thank you! (The demo version of HeavyGear2 will not work at all. Just a black screen when going into 3D mode-The demo was tried with the full version uninstalled-This demo worked fine on my G200),

I tried both of your suggestions to no avail. The game will work fine in training mode though. I've tried forcing 2X and 1X through the reg hack with no luck. Other games like halflife and Quake 3 work fine. I also have lock up problems with Final Reality and the first person shooter test in 3DMARK! I have a Pentium111 450 with 64 Meg 100Mhz Ram. I have an MSI-6163 Pro which I use at 450,504 and 525. I have a SB LIVE! soundcard. I hope it is not the soundcard causing problems. Thanks!

Make sure you are using the Liveware 2.1 for you SB or else you will encounter some strange problems, very frustrating. Scan the forum postings, you will find this mentioned several times.
