G400MAX in and working.

Hi All

Got my G400MAX in and working.
I thought I would have lots of problems getting the software to work as I have
kept my Voodoo II card in the machhine for
comparison purposes.

Using Re-volt to benchmark:
Voodoo II, 3Dfx DirectX6 reference drivers,
800x600x16, 16 bit textures = 30-33fps.

G400MAX, Matrox drivers, 1024x768x32, 24 bit
textures = 30fps.

My mate has a Voodoo III 3000 AGP. I will
borrow it and run the same test to see what
happens.

Does anyone know if I need Win98 to get the
dual head to work, as I am still running
Win95 OSR2?

Yes you do. Only Win98 or SE versions support multi-monitor.
Did you get any mode other than software mode to work?
All can get is software mode, no System GL in Q2. Not gonna cut it. May be going back to Herc TNT2Ultra soon if i can't get it fixed.

I will need to check what modes are available in Re-Volt. Seems I need to try Half-Life,
Kingpin etc, as these seem to be the problem games. Will let you know the outcome.

Hey LakinDaSkilz,

Do you happen to have dualhead multi-display enabled? If you do disable it when trying to run OpenGL. As I understand it OpenGL does not support dualhead multi-display.
