re:g200 is crap!!!

I apologise for my language before but it still does'nt change the fact that there are problems with this card. I have already installed the latest drivers 5.21 and for some reason winamp and it's opengl drivers don't work...why? plz can someone help me...it seems like I may be doing something wrong!

Why have you started a new thread?

My G200 (Marvel) works just fine. On a Celeron 366 my G200 got 2800 3D marks on 3DMark99Max, but my brothers Millennium G200 only gets 1750 on the same spec. PC. Strange.

The Matrox ICD does not handle all OGL as well as most others. Every review ever written has shown the G200 is not a great OGL card. In WinAmp, many OGL plug-ins will work, but Prince's is one of the few that I can't get working either, even on the G400. Both are much stronger D3D cards than OGL.

As Matrox continues to improve their OGL drivers, more things will work better...but for now, they are more concerned with getting major titles working than winamp plugins...

Why not go to winamp and question them?Why condemn g200 when the problem may lie with winamp,perhaps a patch is available or by letting them know of the problems,a solution can come about.Matrox is probably aware of the problem,if Kruzin suffered the same.Stick with your card and your card will stick with you!
