    Hey Scout,

Check your Windows/System folder and see if there are any G200 files there and delete them.
This seems to be a problem especially for those who were using 5.15.

Are your proper OGL files all intact?
In your windows\system folder, you should have:
      g400icd.dll
      opengl32.dll (737k in size)
      glu32.dll (137k)

Sometimes opengl32 and glu32 are the wrong version (especially if you have ever installed GLDirect), or missing. Without those (correct) files, OGL won't work.

There should also be no opengl32.dll in the game directory of whatever game you are trying to play. If there is anything like the old G200 wrapper in the game directory, it will try to override the system's OGL.

Also make sure that dualhead multi-display is disabled when trying to run OpenGL.

After all you've gone through, it just about has to be a bad piece of hardware somewhere in the mix.

I would try the card in a different machine.
Try different RAM in your machine.
Slow your RAM timing in your BIOS down.
If you have ECC checking on for your RAM, turn that off.
Check your power supply for proper, steady voltages.

Do you have try the un-install program proved by Matrox. I have the same probelm when I am using PD 5.13. However, when I use the uninstall program and check that no G400 or G200 driver in windows/system/ driectory. Then re-install the PD 5.21. All the OpenGL game include windows's OpenGL screen saver are running fine. However, my system will halt when the Bump Mapping is on

                  Run "msconfig".

What do you have enabled under general/advanced?

Also, go into the Startup tab and disable as many TSR's as you can and see if that helps.

i have no programs running at startup, and nothing enabled in the advanced menu.
i just tested it again on a different machine... it totally fried his windows 98, and had to reformat and such...
then... windows got currupted, so we did scandisk, and sudenly found bad sectors taht weren't therre befor...
so we flag the bad sectors and continue installation.
                    halfway through win98 installation, bsod....
after we finally got it installed and running, we started up windows.... and.... bsod....
                    ooooooookay.... safemode....
go into safemode, delete a few things in system...
windows starts up, asks for drivers, we install them, and reboot....
"hard disk coruption, you need to run scandisk..." 6 more bad sectors...
so then we finally get it to boot into windows again.... bsod yet AGAIN, not even my computer was THIS bad!
i can't ask for a new pice of hardware, because it will take them 8-10 WEEKS to send me a new one + 7-15 days shipping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after that time, my return time of 30 days is over, so i am stuck with a board... should it STILL not work... that i can't even use!...
as anyone can probably tell... i am EXTREMELY PISSED since i was on hold for another 45 minutes and then a tech picked up and said "yea, i'll get this guy to e-mail you, good by sir" *CLICK*
                    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
i just got it, at 9 o'clock! and it says exactly what i have done with the techs for the past f'n week!
                    AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG!
