  • PD 5.15, games don't even detect OGL?

Ok, well I'm running 5.15 (I have to, since I have a RR+G) , and things can't even find OpenGL. (Q3Test can't initialize the subsystem, halflife says 'your card does not support this resolution in open gl') ...

G400icd.dll is in there, along with -some- opengl32.dll that i've tried deleting. I've also tried renaming G400icd.dll to opengl32.dll, and moving it to the game directory, etc, and nothing seems to change anything.

I've tried this in dualhead and singlehead mode, too.

    Anyone help me?

You need to at least have both the g400icd.dll and the opengl32.dll in your windows/system directory. Also make sure that Multihead display is not on in the powerdesk advanced settings.

You must have the correct opengl32.dll file (it is very different from g400icd.dll).

That opengl32.dll file should only be in your windows\system folder...not any game folder. If it's in a game folder, it won't work.

In Win98 (not se), my opengl32.dll file is 737k in size. If it's not the correct file, you can find it in one of the .cab files on your windows CD,

While you're at it, check for the proper glu32.dll (also in the system folder). it should be 137k in size, and is also required for OGL to work.

Ok. Checking that now, thanx. It is 737k, and all that, I mean, I put everything back but it still won't detect... but i'll try another uninst and reinst.
