Could be a lot of things, Speedy. What drivers are you using? Ver. 5.25 appear to have cleared up quite a few problems for a lot of people. But the technology most of us are using has been out for more than a couple of weeks.

If you're using ver. 5.25, I'll have to defer to Haig or Kruzin.

How is the Athlon and new motherboard treating you otherwise? What kind of motherboard are you using? Is it the FIC?

Hi Speedy,

Kingpin has run great on every driver ive used from Matrox. Sounds like you might wanna try forcing AGP x 1....AGP x 2 ran great on my Celeron...but once i upgraded to a P3 500 i had to force AGP x 1 to get games to run without locking up. Weird huh? Oh well good luck with you K7...sounds like a great PC.

oh ya...make sure that you have the latest patch for Kingpin, from www.planetkingpin.com its v1.2...there will be a 1.21 comming soon but right now this is the latest.
