  • Wanted To Say 'Thanks'...

To the board here, for the recommendation of the Epox MVP3G-M motherboard. Can't remember exactly who recommended it (were two or three who said it was the way to go), but allowed me to take out that shitty Amptron board that never worked right.

The Epox board is bloody FLAWLESS (if you ignore the lack of AGP 2x...) System is rock-solid, and the Mill G200 seems to be quite happy there.

Can't describe how great it was to break the Amptron board up into little pieces (six total..) Three of the pieces were shipped to Amptron, along with a 'nice' letter, and the other three were shipped to the idiot retailer (Memory Etc. in Mesa, AZ) along with an equally 'nice' letter. After all the frustration of trying to get that board to function without lockups, and NO HELP WHATSOEVER from either Memory Etc or Amptron, was better than 100 therepy sessions to tear the board to hell and ship it back to them. I feel purged...

Hey, glad you like your Epox motherboard. I've been really pleased with mine too. About the agp 2x, the mobo does support it. In fact, I have my G200 o/c to 93/124 (186PLL) running in agp 2x mode and motherboard at 112. No luckups yet after hours of gameplaying on quake3.. gonna try faster and see what happens

Glad you like your new mobo. Push that G200 further, mine runs at 105 mhz 24/7, and i run it at 118 mhz for games.

Cool way to vent. I wish I was that creative
