Newbie needs help. G400/DVD

I just got my Pioneer 103s 6x DVD ROM drive today and was wondering how do I go about viewing a DVD movie. I have a G400 Dual head/vanilla (Dual-head disabled because of no Win2k Dual head drivers. I dual boot with win 98) I have a Viper 550 as my secondary card (which is gone as soon as some dual-head drivers are released for Win2K). I'm not interested in viewing the movie on the second monitor. Do I just slap the disk in the drive and voila' or what? Both parts were OEM so documentation is sparse. Is this flavor of G400 even capable? It did come with a cable doohickie. Thanks for any info.

The Matrox DVD player software is on the driver disk...just install that, and off ya go

Also make sure to enable DMA in the device manager for your DVD drive, or it will give chunky style playback...
