Guys, I've had the same terrible problem with my last 6 Matrox cards, and dozens of builds of drivers...no problems at all. Time and time again I upgrade, and it goes without a hitch. I've even gotten 2xAGP on both my G200 and G400 in both of my machines, in all driver versions, without having to force it
I have not re-installed 9x since I first installed 95osr2. Upgraded to 98, and have kept up on the updates. In that time, Ive used a MillII, G200, and G400 (and other misc cards). This OS has been on 3 hard drives, and at least 6 motherboards. And it still runs great, and benches right along side comparible systems.
Why, you might ask...because I have gigs of apps set up, and I refuse to reinstall them all.
It's all just a matter of knowing how to butcher your registry
This is all on my main machine. I can't count the times I've re-installed the OS on my kids machine
You may have found the big Matrox flaw.
I found it with my G200.
All these people with "driver" problems that take total reformats to fix etc.
I, on the other hand, put my G200 in and it just worked. In an ss7 board no less. I can't understand it.
No fun, no fun at all.
