I bet yer gonna have all sorts of fun with those registry settings you where asking about in the Powerdesk forum last week

How do you get to see any of them using Matrox Tweak? The thing seems to be RegMonEx proof, you can't spy on what it's doing using that. ShowMeAllMatrox doesn't work either. Not exactly going to have a ball flicking vsync on and off.

Pretty nice of Matrox to release this tool. MGA Tweak was a bit confusing so I didn't bother with it because I didn't want to mess anything up. If Matrox can put in more tweaking options that would be even better.

I was a bit aggresive with the tool. The first setting I tried was 120%. Got a whole bunch of garbage on the desktop so lowered to 115%. No garbage on desktop but unfortunately Xwing Alliance does. 110% is working fine for me. Maybe if I get a Super Duper Slot Fan to go along with my Card Cooler, my MAX just might do 115% with no garbage.

Good work Matrox. Definately heading in the right direction. Now get back to work on the drivers like someone said above!

hehehe ... NOW we can talk

My Vanilla goes up to 125% equaling 168/210MHz core/memory clock ...

        No more 3rd party mess-ups !

MatroxTweak is a little bit better...to handle. :-)
My performance with it decrease 2-3 fps.The possibility to oc the resolution is a good feature.GOOD JOB MATROX!!That's the right support.

Maggi, your vanilla can reach 125% (168/210), while my Max can only go as far as 107% (160/214)?!

So much for justice in this world...

            Ok let's see...
Big M has done three things wew'e been biatch'n 'bout:

            1. Drivers out close together
            2. Beta OGL available
            3. Tweak utility

So, WHO SAID bitch'n to the forums didn't help? Slartibartifast? Hollyberri? One of you said it, I know one of you did

              To get this straight:

Bitching might get some attention, but asking/complaining in a constructive (at least polite) manner will get attention, hence it will give results way faster ... know what I mean ?

And about my Vanilla being faster than your MAX ... don't know why, maybe I got a better fan stuck on top of the heatsink.

Did you add any cooling to your card, tish ?

Think about Maggi's cooling - his mamma fans are cooling the whole card, memory et al. Maybe, tish, lower the ambient temp around the MAX and you'll get higher. I can't believe you can only get 107% out of it. I thought Matrox' limits would have made sure that went higher..

I'm getting to 117%, a little higher than with powerstrip, don't know why, everything is the same.

What's cool is that you don't have to have it in your startup drawer for the overclocking to stick between reboots. The try before you buy feature is neat too, if the screen is arsed up you can wait and it will be restored.

Oh, and I get near generic max levels at 118% without active cooling, but I don't find overclocking does a whole help of a lot on my system, good for a few fps at high res, but nothing special.
