WTF is up with the MAX and retail shops..

I just got an email back from Pcstop.com about my MAX order and it just seems never to end..I went from August 8 to the 16 to the dreaded 9/9/99 date that came and went and now the Mother***** don't even have an ETA for when they are getting this god damn video card in. Does anyone know of an online shop that has any idea when the card is supposed to come in? This getting reduicus now.. I don't want to deal with Matrox direct since I'm a cheap skate and don't want to pay full retail!

Have you tried call around to different local (and not so local) shops to see if they have a ETA or actually has one in stock?

I got my max from matrox online store though... Have had it for two weeks now.

And, I don't know about any shops local to me that got one in stock either. Whoever said the max was in full production, eh....

Looks like you'll have to move to Sweden or UK to get one. Don't seem to have em here in the states.

Same deal here - ordered from BUY.COM early August, no MAX in sight. Would I pay the extra $70 to buy from Matrox? Not yet...

According to one of the Swedish distributors i was the first to order a MAX in Sweden from them, they got 40 last Friday and have no more, they still have 400 on back order, the card is assembled in Ireland.
