  • Icons running all over the place on my desktop

With the new 5.25 drivers, my icons move all over the place when I play certain games. When I come out of the game, the icons are all on top of each other and squished up. Its very annoying having to fix them.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Haig? Anyone?

I'm also using PD5.25 but what happened to me was a little different...The whole desktop "dances"!! Whenever a CDROM is inserted into the drive, the entire screen "dances" and goes back normal after.
Another annoying thing is that my mouse cursor will sometimes randomly "jump" from one location of the screen to another, and all the opened Windows will then be minimised!! This is damn frustrating especially when you are surfing the net or typing some docs...

I believe its a driver fault or maybe a conflict with my generic trackball mouse(using Logitech MouseWare v8.4).

    Anyone help pls?
    :-D

You guys are not crazy, I believe it is the drivers causing the same thing on my system (except for the jiggling and minimizing). If I change resolutions on the fly, then when I go back to the resolution I was using, then the Icons are are all messed up and out of position. Also, randomly, my mouse pointer jumps across the screen for no apparent reason, I already tried two different mice, and nothing stopped this.

Got the exact problem here. I assume it's a driver issue. Funny thing that they can't get the icons to hold still. I've never had another video card that do that. Weird and slightly annoying.

          Hi guys,

I get the same on my system each time I put in a cd and it starts its autorun. Any window open starts having an epileptic attack.

It wouldn't be a mouse issue because I get it on a standard MS mouse (with/without a roller).

It's already been entered in the bug database.

I have 1 g200, and i get the icons scambled as well.
I have enabled the save/icons in the desktop properties for powerdesk 5. It has'nt glitched yet but I haven't tested it much yet.

Had the same problem too. Enabeling the "automatically save icon positions" under desktop properties, settings, advanced, options, worked for me to.

Haig - is that a technical term?

                  After 3D Games ?
The desktop icons are misplaced on the desktop after the game is shut down ?
This was controlled in 5.21 by the options in Display Properties but that control appears lost with 5.25 . The trick here is to disable autoload for the power desk driver . Then the icons remain where they were before the game driver loads the 3D screen .
