As it turns out I just recieved it in the mail today. I'm about to give it a shot. I'll let everyone know. I should be able to take my resolution to 1600x1200, in theory (not that I'd want to go that high with only a 17" monitor)

    brb y'all.

Well, so far so good. Windows will support 1600x1200 even though my monitor won't. and half-life is playing in very high resolutions. What kind of problems did you guys have, anyway. I'll let you know if anything else arises.

          Honestly, I don't know.

What's a way of telling? I'll look it up if you want.

Bought my SGRAM for the G200 at Allstar...same markings on the chips as the Matrox ones (can't remember how fast...but were the same...and I'm not gonna open my case to look ) No problems at all..lifetime guarantee.

Yeah Echo Wars, lifetime guarantee on the chips working okay, but I called them up before I ordered and asked them about compatibility. The rep said they do not in any way guarantee compatibility. The web page says 100% compatible, but the don't swear to it. Pretty low if you ask me, but as I've said. I'm pretty happy so far.

I have called them several times. They seem to have lost all information about my order. Even when I faxed them my copies of the receipts. They say they'll return my calls but never do.
The chip speed are the last 2 digits on the chips after their part number.
