  • WHQL G400 Driver 5.20 GOOD for LAVA !

    Hi !

I just installed the new certifed drivers & they r NOT certifed with DX7 ...but they fixed my problem with LAVA ! player from CREATIVE because, when ever I wanted to exit LAVA ! it makes ILLIGAL OPERATION ,some times freez the sys so I had to reboot , that is fixed now... happy me !

OGL ? I dont knowe.. (LAVA! is OGL & works FINE)

    D3d well with PD 5.25 i get 4608 & with PD5.2.0 4620 not OC , VSYNC ON 85Hz @ 1024x768x16 16 bit ZBF

so far they r wery good to me so I stay with PD 5.20 untill 5.30 TURBOGL

tryed UNREAL mission pack,RE-Volt,NFS 4 all OK , no lockups or other...

I think you should give a try to 5.20 special if you use C.L. LAVA ! player

    good luck !

      FSB 112 via SOFTFSB

      & it wasnt 4800 it was 4620

about SSE , mabe YES, mabe NO what processor U have ?

Never compare 3dmark99max results across CPU platforms. Only compare PIII's to PIII's and PII's to PII's and celerys to celerys and K6-2's to K6-2's (yeah, you get the picture )

OK, I should have been a bit clearer. The final 3dmark result is calculated using average frame rates from the two game demos, and the CPU mark, and nothing else. The CPU mark is drastically different when comparing, for example, PIIIs to PIIs. If you look deeper into the results, (fps readings, blah blah) and not at the final result, and so are ignoring the CPU Mark competely, it is OK to compare.

I will put it to you all this way.

If you play 3DMark, then use the drivers that give you the best 3DMark performance.

If you play real games, then use the drivers that give you the best performance, in the games you play.

              Need I say more?

You can compare Celerons to PIIs, they have no severe difference.

I agree, use the results browser and compare the P3 and C/PII side by side for each bench. Not quite a big deal anymore, is it?

Has anyone tried the WHQL Drivers with System Shock 2? I am still on driver rev. 5.13, as I am waiting for new drivers that will cure the texture glitching problems introduced with 5.23 (in SS2) . Are these problems fixed in the WHQL release?

For a nice sample comparison database
                    take a look at:
                    http://www.ccsr.cse.dmu.ac.uk/~rl/OClockCompare.zip

I moved from a PII450 to PII450 (560 oclck) and noticed a nice improvement in all my games.

Hey Borg, that hurt my eyes Next time, just the basic results would do. Kinda weird that you are getting around the same score as I do at 1024x768x32 32zb with a P3.

Hey Steve, that doesn't mean your P2 515 should get over 300 3D marks more than my Celery 464 and G400 MAX OC to 110%. I get only around 3924 at 1024 32 bit. How did you get 4300? What drivers were you using?
