  • New Bios for Abit BH6

I hope this new BIOS for the Abith BH6 motherboard can solve my problem (lock ups) with G400MAX ftp://ftp.abit.com.tw/pub/bios/bh6/bh6mv.exe

Does anyone know what BH6 revision this bios is for? The above FTP site is down right now (for me that is) and the ABIT homepage has not been updated to include this new release. As well, none of the mirrors listed seem to have it as well? Has anyone sucessfully flashed to this new bios yet? If so, did you use a rev 1.0 or 1.1 board?

The bios is NOT for rev 1.1 boards. Those are in the BH632 directory on the Abit FTP site.

That's right, it's for the 1.0x series boards. I have been running it for a day now. It didn't solve my lock up problem.

          ftp://ftp.mathematik.uni-marburg.de/pub/mirror/abit/

You're not blind, it's just that Abit were smoking crack when they picked the place to put the label on - It's on the left side of the second ISA slot. You'll probably need to use a mirror to see it...

Thanks MatroxG400max. The new Abit BH6 bios cleared up my problem with freeze up during internet play with HL/TFC. I have a vanilla G400 32mb.

I found the revision number, and I DID have to use a mirror ......... what a dumb-arse place to put it.

I've got Rev 1.0S ........... any major differences between this board and Rev 1.1 ??

                    Cheers,

One easy check is when you bought your BH6...

                      Anytime 98 = 1.0
                      Early 99 = Coin Toss
                      Now/mid 99 = 1.1
