Sorry, but I can't tell you if that's good or bad, but whoever does will need to know what resolution you ran that test in....

That's a low score but about right for a K6-2 400 and a G400, I would try to go for a higher bus rate to bring it up a bit, you should get at least 2800-2900. A TNT 1 would give you faster results at low resolutions, ie 800x600 and lower, the G400 is about high resolutions only. Until some magical drivers come along or Matrox admits the lack of a hardware triangle setup, you'll never know why that is. If you really want faster numbers get a new cpu or a different video card or play the driver waiting game.

        Hi JoeDredd

your 2650 sounds VERY low for your system specs! I suggest you're running the benchmark "just as it starts up", 800x600x16

I get 2748 (with 3811 CPUmarks) with these settings and this with a G200-8mb (compared to your G400-32mb!!)

        my system:
        PII-400, 128mb pc100, AGP2x, G200-8mb

        greetings

Sorry Guys forgot to tell you what res i was running it in

            800x600 16bit

Any ideas if a K63 450 would change the result drastically?

I will be getting one at the end of the year as well as a Athlon 650

lol, when i overclock my G400, scores go down, and everything else goes up, isn't it weird
                Also
IF u have a winmodem, and trying to test your system when internet is on, don't do it, cause i have a winmodem, and when it is on, i get about a 1000 points less on 3d marks, my scores are in my sig, but it is a bid different system, though it is amd, lol
If u have a winmodem, TURN IT OFF!

by the way, compare to some ppl who have similar systems on 3dfiles.com and here, i got LOW ASS scores, anybody have any suggestions?

With a K6-3 450@504 on an Epox MVP3G-M and a Mill G200 16MB SD I have been able to post about 3300 3DMarks at 800x600x16. Of course, that is with the card running at 246MHz...

Well lately I have been playing with 3dmark quite some and got few results. My system is P2 400mhz 128mb ram, G400 16mb singlehead.Project Settings (Template):
Rendering Platform: Internal (Matrox Millennium G400 - English)

Bilinear Texture Filtering Speed: 100.0 %
Trilinear Texture Filtering Speed: 73.9 %

What I'm surprised is that even tho I see significant improvement in other results..I get practically no improvement in game 1 or 2..so I guess the bottleneck is my P2 400?
Anyway..not quite sure how slow K6-2 is compared to 400P2 but I would guess you should get atleast somewhat better scores.
