Matrox DVD Player help

hey,

I was reading a review in a magazine about the G400 and DVD. Anyway, it said the dvd player had the abililty to play letterbox movies full screen without the black bars. When I play my "Matrix" DVD (which is letterbox only) I can't find a way to play it in this mode.

Anyone point me in the right direction?

Mine has a strange 'feature' which may enable you to do what you want, but I can't think why you would want to distort the picture (unless I misunderstood you);

When playing Starship Troopers (region 2, widescreen) select 800x600x16, default window size. This will fill the screen and make everyone very tall.
If I change to 1024x768 then the aspect ratio is retained.
