  • G200 refuses to go to AGP 2x (its not a ss7 prob..)

I switched motherboards from an DFI MVP3 board to a MSI BX board but my G200 wont go to AGP2!
The thing is that i had an other G200 of the same model in this motherboard @ work an there it got to agp2!
Arent the drivers suposed to test agp and shose speed?
Well, i'm going to reinstall the drivers again!

      Technoid,

      Do this:

Download the new G400 drivers (which you have already =) ), download the 4in1 driver pack from Via, download the uninstall utility from Matrox, run the uninstall utility, reboot switch to standard Vga adapter and reboot, install the 4in1 driver pack in turbo mode reboot and go into your bios and disable "read around write" save settings and exit, boot into windows and run the setup for PD 5.25, reboot and you should be up to speed.

        Yes!
        Then it worked!
        BUT!
I had a powersuply for my subwoffer speakers under the monitor and while playing NFS4 the screen went AWOL!
Since i dont know if it was the powersuply or the AGP2 settings then a tried to make the drivers set it to AGP2.
Does the driver only test att install or what?

Um. I doubt your subwoofer powersupply knocked your G200 back to 1x.

              Since i wasent that clear:
I the Motherboard is an MSI 6163 BX INTEL board!
I was unsure wathever the corupt screen was because interfearens from the powersuply or that the g200 dident like AGP2!
i will force it again and test since i have moved the powersuply!

              BTW

On my old DFI MVP3 board i always got corupted screens when i forced agp2 and that always happend right away when i tried to play any game!
