Hi Patrick. Thanks for the link, but just a sugestion: You could have kept the original filename (w9x_530.exe), it would be easy to resume the download for those who have already started it from matrox ftp or from murc downloads.

I guess I could.
Next time. :-)

Since I unzipped the file and re-zipped it to check, I changed the filename.

Well I had no trouble pulling it off matroxusers at almost 90k/s

However, if you can't get it there, you can get it here:

Yeah at least I was able to D/L it in a snap. I was getting about 400K/sec of MURC. Too bad there's no benefit for celery owners

There is a benefit for all Matrox owners. There is more to this driver release than the TurboGL. There are also many bug fixes, and improvements to the full ICD as well...

And the drivers will work with Voodoo cards, just not the TurboGL part of them. See my "How TurboGL works" thread to see how...

Yep thanks again.
Also reading the MURC news helped.

Ok. so if I dont plan on using the TurboGL MCD (since I am a PII owner) it wont look to install the openGl32.dll into my games.
This reminds me of Creatives Glmini driver that does exactly the same for their voodoo cards. Searches for games that use quake engine and give you the option to install the mini driver into that directory but not in the Windows\System dir.
Good. Then the improved 5.3ICD will not affect anything except that the new .dll will simply be placed into the System dir?
