WTF ! I have to yank out the sli voodoo's to make these turbo drivers work ? Q3 does nothing but crash..Sorry matrox but Im not yanking my voodoos until this max does glide.
Back to 5.25, when 5.35 coming out, next year ?

No, Kx30, I don't mean Voodoo1s. I mean ANY Voodoo based card.
If yours is working, it's the first I've heard of.
Are you sure you're using the TGL MCD, and not the 3DFX MCD?

shken - you can still use these drivers. Just delete the TurboGL MCD (opengl32.dll)file from the game directory, and reinstall the 3dfx MCD.

The regular ICD will remain unaffected, all the cards will work...just no TurboGL....

I just did that kruzin , thanks. What a drag, I was looking forward to trying q3 with the turbo driver. Q2 fires up but I dont play it..I have these sli's in here just to play qw online, been hooked for years .. Whats the story with unreal ?

What story do you mean?
AFAIK, TurboGL supports Unreal. It should have installed with the rest of them...but will probably have the same conflict with the Voodoos...

However, since I don't have a P3/K7 for the TGL, or play Unreal any more (hasn't been on my drive for months), I can't say for sure

Kruzin , i USE the g400 TURBO MCD AND v2sli in ONE system AND it works !!!!!!!!!

Explanation (possible) : i have a Sony F500 on which i use the BNC port for the g400max and the VGA port for the V2sli --> NO LOOP THROUGH !!
I have a little switch (and two lights) which lets me choose which input i would like to use . So it is absolutely impossible that i don´t know what card is actually accelerating when i play games !

I have renamed the opengl32.dll (~500kb = turbo version) in my q3 folder to something different to FORCE q3 to use the "normal" g400 ICD and there was a performance drop from ~50 fps to 36 fps without the turbo gl !! (1024*768*16 all max except only bilinear , vsync off and 16bit tex. with PIII540)

I think it is the loop through that causes the problems with the voodoo cards . Since i don´t use it --> no problems

I am a little bit disappointed of the turbogl speed because in 32 bit tnt2ultra is still faster when using 32 bit z-buffer . (on the g400max) . In 16 bit and 32 bit/16bit-Z both cards are equally fast in q3 though.

In UT tnt2ultra can do ~25 fps in 1024*768*16 all max (even sound) while g400max can only do ~21 fps ! And this is direct3d and not opengl ....
(using "wicked" demo)
(of course i use the sli with UT that can do ~28 fps

Well, I know ALBPM is doing something similar. He has his G400 hooked up to his BNC, and his Obsidian24x hooked to the d-sub, and he can't get it to work. I also got the same from the guys at Matrox while we where testing these drivers...their voodoo2 equiped test systems would not work with it.

Must be the Creative drivers you're using...

I have two Helios Voodoo 2 cards and a Matrox G400 DH 32 sdram (no max).
I have no problems at all.

I use Turbo GL with Quake III 1.08, and my frame rates went up from 36 fps to 45 fps (800x600x32x32).

My system:

-Pentium III 450 o.c.-ed to 527 (117x4.5)
-Abit BX6 rev.2.0 (MW bios).
-128 MB sdram (100 Mhz fsb).
-Matrox G400 DG 32 MB (no max).
o.c.-ed to 288 with Mgatweak 112b
-Hauppauge wintv card.
-2 x Helios voodoo2 sli 12 MB (ref. drivers).
-SBLive value Liveware 2.1
-Directx 7
-C.T.X. 21 inch Monitor

I have an F400 hooked up the same way and I tried the creative drivers for the voodoo's as well. I still had to rid the opengl.dll in the game directory as kruzin advised
to get Q3 to work.

The boyz keeping the SLI installed are doing some'n wrong. By all tests here the new Turbo is faster in Q3 and HL .Just a little in Q3 but significantly in HL which really is the important game . Ya.
BTW whoever has SLI "working" with Turbo is smoking good stuff--the Turbo overwrites the 3Dfx minigl so SLI cannot work.Look again.Fiddling with passthru is nonsense in light of the file usage.
