  • G400's video-streams to TV

Why does the G400 show up fullscreen on a TV when there's a video-stream involved. It doesn't matter what kind of stream it is, it's always fullscreen. But when the desktop is shown on the TV, there are borders around it. Why is this???

I don't know the full answer, but here's a couple of pointers:

A friend has a G200+RR. TV-out has borders (that can be minimised by altering the settings for that display mode in the 5 series PD drivers) and MJPEG streams (only)filled the screen (according to HAIG, in the days of the 4 series PD drivers).

I guess the bottom line is use the latest drivers and adjust the display mode. You'll have to do it for each resolution you output, but you'll be pleased you did.

I tried to adjust the borders in the advanced settings, but when i restarted the system the outpot had borders again.
And the video-streams are all fullscreen. Not just MJPEG, but internet streams like .asx is allso fullscreen. I was just wondering why this was.
