weird dvd playback on TV

When i watch The Matrix in scene 11 when the camera is panning close to his body, it is very clear that every 2 sec. the playback halt, only on the tv, when the monitor is fine. My tv is pal. When i select ntsc tv in the DvdMax menu my tv shows the movie in black and white but no annoying halt!

Has anyone a solution? thanks Mikkel

system spec: abit bx6, c266 (412), 192mb, g400 32mb dh (150 200), pioneer A03 DVD, soundblaster live player 1024, DTT 2500, viewsonic p815.

The DVD player tries to convert NTSC to PAL
and it seems to do this by playing a few
frames and then stopping for some frames.
Very annoying. A solution would be to
output PAL 60 but the Matrox-Driver cannot
be configured to output 60 frames at PAL.

I would be very interested in a solution,
too.
