  • Overclocked PCI/AGP and the G400MAX

    Hi!

Could you please share you experiences with the G400 and non-standard bus frequencies (75, 83, 112, etc.)? I tried to use the G400 on an overclocked Mendocino (83x6; 75x6) and I encounter strange problems - I get some severe distortions in Quake2 (this does not always happen); I get some rather minor screen corruptions in the TechDemo but only with AGP 2x forced (when I use AGP 1x or the 66mhz FSB with AGP 2x all is OK).

    Any suggestions?

My system: Soyo 7IZB+ mobo (S370), Mendocino 400, G400 MAX
    Asus A7V, Duron 600@900, 192MB PC133@100, G200, Guillemot MUSE, etc.

yep, leave it at AGP1x ...

Just think about what you do to your card when trying 2x83.3MHz and 2x75MHz ...

You'd need a hell of a modern system and parts to get a chance of running it flawless.
