Alright, here are my suggestions, now that I am a MURCer!

• associate the new smilies with emoticons so we can use them in the body of our messages: e.g. >=( is the angry face, 8) is the cool sunglass guy, etc.
• how about a smiley for a guy giving a raspberry? :P (you could even make the tongue wag )
• since everyone wants ranks and titles according to number of posts, give them amusing ones, like SuperMURCaloid or The Great MURCin
• btw, can we have a smiley face for surprise? Or might that be the little red faced guy? He could have big round eyes indicative of his alarm.
• I liked rags' idea for the finger. Could we also have a mooning symbol? (_|_) might work.
