    Not that it should matter alot, but isn't IRQ7 usually for the LPT:1 printerport and IRQ5 for the SB16 emulator??

    Jorden, wishing G.U.R.errrr K.??? would change his nick again

      Joe, I never asked you to remove *anything*. I just suggested you to move your IDE devices to one controller, and disable the other (this would free up an IRQ).

        Joe (et al):

        Usual IRQ Assignments (in a perfect world):

        0, 1 = Reserved
        2 = Cascade from 9 for older devices
        3 = Com2/4
        4 = Com1/3
        5 = Sound Blaster
        6 = Floppy
        7 = LPT1
        8 = Timer/System
        9 = Free
        10 = Free
        11 = Free
        12 = Mouse Port
        13 = System Reserved
        14 = IDE1
        15 = IDE2

        Jorden:

        What would you suggest that I change it to THIS time? Or did you just really like Ash better?

        I would still get screwed

          Take out your Abit motherboard, stomp on it, then go get a REAL motherboard, like a Soyo or an Asus.

          Based on all the Abit problems, you'd think people know by now not to mix the two...

            Jason,

            As no-one says Ash to you nomore, and it never was my copyright ( ), I don't think Gurm is my copyright either...

            And at least I know your real name...

            btw, we fought our little copyright war and none of us won.

            What about a sig as:
            --------------------
            Ash is to Ashes, Gurm is the name to look for!!!
            --------------------
            Or would that be too easy??

            Jorden, who's name is copyright of Gurm, I guess
