OK Guys, when I said I haven't seen a 30% decrease anywhere, that might be because I don't think I've played any OGL games since about 5.13.xx. I've been only playing D3D games. I'm not into FPS games (shock horror!)
Anyway, I've just done some tests, and, I see a decrease across the board in OGL (Q2).
Didn't have much time to check a lot, but I have found:

      6% decrease in 640x480x16x16Z in demo1.dm2
      27% (!) decrease in 1024x768x16x16Z in demo1.dm2
      2% decrease in 640x480x16x16Z in crusher.dm2
      6% decrease in 1024x768x16x16Z in crusher.dm2

      Sorry guys!

      Cheers,

        Thanks Steve!

Now the only thing we have to do is wait and pray...

Yeah, I pray too, but I still have only 14 days to return my G400! I really love(d) this card, but if this is all Matrox can do after those betaOGL numbers then...

          Man I'm confused!

          Micko,

The life of a Matrox User is all about 'waiting and praying'. The 14 days are an initiation test to check if you're a true believer...

We all have to go through it and we can't help you. It's your test...

I don't find that one bit funny! nothing! no!

I want dualhead, win2k SMP and OGL ICD (fast/stable/bugfree)

Now TNT2 got the win2k SMP and OGL ICD and G400 Max got the dualhead.

                I WANT BOTH!

                Matrox can you help me?
Matrox can you hire more programmers?
Matrox surely you got more money now that you've gotten so many preorders sold?
Matrox can you ask driver dev. for an estimate and double that and tell us?

They can't because they are not as strong or as vice or as big or as good etc as Nvidia.

So here I go: Nvidia forever.

Please forgive me, dear M followers!

Now I got it! This is a (not too clever) plot test the fidelity of the beta testers. Matrox is watching, how soon the faster beta OpenGL leaks out...

has anyone noticed that d3d performance is up with the new drivers? of course you would need to USE a Matrox card and not just bash it

ok assuming there is no problem with the new icd and it is the one expected to be very much faster than the current drivers then matrox failed real bad.i dont thing anyone should bash the constructive critisism
i mean no-one should be happy the current developements no-one cause "no-one" has recieved the performance and stability that was promised by matrox and the beta testers.this passive style of taking whatever the hell matrox wants to put out and like it really seems crazy to me.its human nature if everytime i see you i slap the shit out of your face and you give me $10
then everytime i see you i will flogg the shit out of your face.as long as people buy the card, keep the card, and endorse the card now matter how much they dont deliver on promised results then they will cut a few programers and ram the money deep in their pockets.now i really like my matrox card and love the visual quality but matrox listen up if you continue to dissapoint and not deliver expected results IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE now if you want people to buy this and your next card and do not want to end up like hercules you better listen.the drivers were something everyone was waiting and relying upon your not so good word for.it would have been better to put us off till you had the performance required or better yet how about delivering a high quality and fast opengl icd on time correctly
                              with no problems

                              p.s.
does anyone else get corrupted textures when playing q3 with the texture slider all the way up with trilenear and 32 z-buffer with the new drivers?

They can't. They don't wanto spend money hiring a _GOOD_ OpenGL programmer. Like Nvidia did. Therefore the poor du0des left in driver dev work their brains off trying to please us. DAMN I'm sure they do hellowa job considering what they can/know about OpenGL code.

But that don't help us much, now do it.
I may be keep retraining my points but after I post, some goofyhead post something untrue and unprofessional. Now THAT's bliss.

Anywhere, I just hope some of this nagging of mine gets out OUT to matrox and some changes may happ. Biatch.

One last issue thought... Maybe there just DON't exist any good OpenGL programmers in Canada? hmmmm?
