DVD Newbie.....
I plan on being able to play DVD movies on my comp in the near future...but before i start buying away, need to ask a few questions:
To play DVD's does it need software to be able to play it? For example lets say I bought a G400 16meg (OEM) and a Toshiba DVDrom, would it just auto-load to the title screen, like a DVD player for your TV?
Does the G400 16meg or 32meg SH have a DVD decoder? All the ones i see advertised with DVD there talking of the DH, but i have no use for DH, be kinda a waste of money for me.
And if the G400 16meg needs software to run DVD movies...would there be any problem, borrowing the software from the bigger brother cards...like the G400 32DH or the G400 Max?
