  • Expert advice needed: How do i change the displayed area on TV output.

    For the G400Max:

How do one go about changing the displayed area on the TV output in DVD MAX?

What i get now is a cropped-off image of what i see on the monitor. The top and bottom and sides are cropped off.(i.e. image appears 'zoomed in' slightly)

It's normal that you loose part of the original image all around the TV display. This is called overscan. The amount you loose can be larger or smaller depending on the TV. There is nothing you can do to change that with DVDMax (except by chaning the TV).

Interresting note: One type of "TV" that displays all the overscan is the RainbowRunner-G (Marvel or most TV capture cards). If you look at some kids shows like Teletubies or Arthur there's numeric data (white flashing dots) on the left to be picked-up by special toys. Since it's in the overscan area you can't see that with a regular regular TV either.

a.f.a.i.k. you can enter the adv. disp. props., enter the monitor settings tab and adjust any available resolution. That also covers the TVout modes and you should be able to adjust the height, width and position of your output, but you won't see any changes on your computer monitor, only on the TV itself ...

      Go and have a look.

DVDMax doesn't use the same modes as the normal TV-Out, you can't adjust it. However if you want to use DualHead Clone (TV-Out) to display your video instead, then you can adjust the dipsplay with the Powerdeks's monitor page.
