• What the hell is the problem with Matrox?

I have been trying to order a G400 32Mb (MAX/DH/DH OEM) but NO ONE HAS THEM!

They are telling me Matrox are just not shipping them.

I'm not paying the extortionate price from Matrox's online store (more than 22% higher
than most retailers).

What the hell is Matrox's problem, the G400's have 'been out' for ages now, so why can't I
get one?

Hi Guys,

What is this whining about the G400:s not being in retail stores ?

I just visited my supplier (a guy selling computers at his home, in a town with 15000 inhabitants, here in Finland) and even he had Max on the shelf.

If I can find Max off the shelf here, there must be loads of them around

And of course there's me... whose beau in Holland talked to a mutual friend (thanks, ALBPM!) who found one (of 2) MAX-es on the shelf in New Mexico, USA, and bought it for me in Brooklyn, NYC, USA... so don't tell me it can't be done...!

why don't you try Pricewatch and just call all the vendors?? Surely they can't all have sold out..!

Or give in and order from the Matrox store. Is all this sturm und drang (??) really worth saving $25 (or whatever it is in pounds)?

More like 50 UKP = US $80

Why bother getting a MAX? I've been able to 3dMark99 them both on my P3 560 and they are practically the same at 800x600

1) The MAX looks better - nifty fan.

2) Guaranteed to run at 150/200.

3) Quit yer whinning. If you can't afford the $250 that the MAX costs in the online store, then you system probably doesn't have the power to make the MAX sing, anyway. Hell, my system barely has the oats to make it move them pixels around fast, and I'm on an OCed PIII-450.

Oh, keep in mind:

IT'S ONLY A VIDEO CARD!
