How to run at AGP 2x ?

Hi,

I have an Abit BH6 (not 1.1) motherboard and a Mystique G200 AGP. I think they're running at AGP 1x, right ?

Is it possible to have them run at 2X ?

If so, how please ?

How can you tell that you are running at 1X? By default you should be at 2X with this mobo.. if not use the registry hacks... just remember to stay away from the 5.30 drivers!

Perhaps I'm a bit confused, so I have 3 questions for you please:

1)- I got this system in Dec of last year. Since then the AGP bus has doubled, hasn't it? What's the new speed; 2x or 4x?
If it's 4x then my bus should be running at 2x, and you're right.

2)- I used a diagnostics utility called SiSandra99, and in it says in the MainBoard information, for the AGP Bus:
. Version : 1.00
. Bus Speed : 69 MHz
. Data Transfer Rate : 1x (69MHz)
. Side Band Enabled : Yes

Does that mean 1x or 2x (because of the sideband) ?

3)- Why stay away from 5.30 ?

Hi,

4X boards are not yet out.
The BH6 should be able to run at 2X.
You are overcloking your CPU
The 5.30 seems unstable with a G200 card
The registry hacks in the download sections should force your card to 2X.
Difference between 1X and 2X is the maximum transfer rate through the BUS... 1X is 266 MB/sec and 2X 532 Mb/sec... but I could higly be mistaken here....
