  • Problem with DVD on NT

I was able to see DVD on NT using WinDVD, downloaded throught a link in www.dvdutils.com
It takes around 300Mhz CPU but the picture quality is as good as any home DVD player out there.
1 problem though... While running, allocated memory in my system goes up by 30kb/sec till I'm 'out of resources'. Shutting down the application doesn't help.
I'm using Windows NT 4.0 Server Hebrew Enabled - Service pack 3 and it's configured as a stand alone server.

Yeah, that dvdutils.com site rocks for "evaluation" software. First off, it does list the requirements as NT4 w/ SP5. Not sure if that is the problem, and upgrading to SP5 can be a royal pain. I am running WinDVD 1.2.99 under NT4 Workstation w/ SP5 and no problems. I am playing a DVD right now and the memory usage is not budging at all. My only thoughts are the Service Pack issue or getting the latest version of WinDVD (1.2.99 now includes Dolby Digital out on SB Live! cards). Could also possibly be a server specific or Hebrew enabled specific problem. Hope something I said helps you in the least.
