another linux problem...

the problem is, i tried to reconfigure my res from 600x480 to 1204x768, but now, it doesn let me to go to gnome, it sais, that gdm.pid? was running, but than got murdured mystireosly, and i can login, but no gnome just this play dos like shell...
HELP
and Can i Quad boot Win 98 and Win 2K, Win NT< LInux?

I currently have only Win 98 and linux on my sys, and i have win 2000cd... so..

have you tried running xconfigurator again? you should also be able to quad but be carefull with lader you use... might be touchy
