  • Monitor interference with Dual Head

I put my old 15" Smile next to my 17" KFC in order to try Dual Head with monitors.

They caused very noticeable interference to each other.. If their refresh rate was close or similar, I could see a horizontal band move across the screens. Higher refresh rate on the other caused other types of artifacts, not that bad but annoying nevertheless.

What kind of monitors do you people have, that can be close to each?

PentiumĀ® II 300 MHz, IntelĀ® AL440LX, 128 MB SDRAM, Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead, Toshiba SD-M1212, Seagate Medalist 6,5 GB, etc.

    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

I had a 21" TV and a Dell 21" monitor running side by side (well, about 6" gap inbetween) and no interference there.

My 19"ers are right next to each other.

The 19" on the primary head is fine.

The 19" on the secondary head is occasionally unstable. I'm starting to thing the secondary output on the card isn't quite up to snuff on my particular MAX (may RMA it shortly).

The two 19"'s get along fine when another computer is using the second head, and the primary head is the G400's primary output.

        Nokia 445Xi (21") @ 85Hz on primary and
        Nokia 447Xpro (17") @ 75Hz on secondary.

The (about one year) older 445Xi has some interferences like unsteady lightness, but not always and only on the very right hand side and the cases of both monis are touching each other.

What you need is two flat panel screens side by side...
