Ron - you DO leave the power plugged in, but you should turn off the switch on the power supply at the back, then the case is still earthed. Anyway, I leave the power in, and the switch on, yes, I know there's still power in the mobo, but hey, I like to live on the edge! I've never blown anything up anyway.

If you are not using a ps2 mouse,go into bios and on the list of irq's you should see irq 12 reserved for ps2 mouse,disable it and that should give you irq 12 in your windows configuration,so you,ll have this to add to your irq's to play with.
I'm seeing more and more OEM's not assigning an irq to the video card,I wish they would get the word and do it!
Why should a consumer have to be subjected to this.It's one thing if you add a device and have to do it,but yet another thing if you buy a new computer,expecting it to work right and you have to go through this!
