Matrox G400 and Tribes?

I can't decide between a TNT-2 Ultra card and a Matrox G400 Max.

I've heard that the Matrox G400 has problems with OpenGL mode in games like Tribes where the OpenGL was specifically designed for the TNT-2.

With the release of their new Open GL Turbo drivers, I wonder if this has addressed any of the problems the G400 had with Tribes.

Has anyone in here been able to get a G400 to run Tribes?

If you use the search function in this, and the Matrox Gameing forum, you will find LOTS of threads and posts about this subject.

Basically, Tribes sucks in OGL on anything besides TNT/TNT2. The game was written for Glide (and patched for TNT OGL), and Glide is what will always be the best choice for that game.
