Re: EverQuest & System.ini - thanks everyone...
I'd posted about this in the gaming forum as well and finally someone knew the answer.
Hanorin suggested going through and removing all references to 'glide' from the system, I did so and lo and behold everything now works. It seems EQ was trying to load the glide stuph depite everything else being removed. Don't know if this might happen with other games but if it does it's another thing to suggest.
Thanks to everyone who helped me with this - if nothing else I've learnt a damn site more about my registry and bios after this performance
