how are the G400 Max preformances on Celeron Processors ?

Hi all,

I am just thinking of buying a G400 Max in Europe (I finally found a reseller, it's even harder to get this card here in Europe) but I am just wondering how the preformances will be on Celeron processors because the TurboGL driver is optimized for Athlon and P3 only for OpenGL games. Has anybody have an idea ?

Should still be fairly good. I am running a PII 400 and I am still getting better results without the Turbo GL than what I used to have with my viper 770 ultra... so yes, it would still be a good move.

Celery 450 and more than pleased. Even if I had turbogl, I wouldn´t dream of playing any of the present games below 1024x768x32 and at that res it starts kicking butt...

Kinda depends on what youre gonna do with. For most opengl games my old viper 550 (tnt 1) was somewhat faster then my new G400 DH (not max). (Q2 runs with about 45 fps in 1024x768, demo 1, quake 1 about 60 fps). however, Direct x games run way faster then on my old viper

I run everything at 8x6 'cause of my monitor.
Everything runs great here except for NFS4, which runs well and nice,just not great. And if you see, my processor is a bit sub-par these days.
